Knott's Berry Farm to take on Cedar Point's Demon Drop

Cedar Point has announced that they will be sending their aging Demon Drop roller coaster to Knott's Berry Farm.

Demon Drop originally made its debut at Cedar Point in 1983 and according to the LA Times, was just recently put up for sale by the park's owners, Cedar Fair, but no buyer could be found.

The Screamin' Swing ride at Knott's Berry Farm will be removed to make way for this ride, which is due to start construction early next year.

Demon Drop is set to reopen at Knott's Berry Farm on Memorial Day Weekend 2010.
