The future of Sea World’s iconic Bermuda Triangle looks bleak, with the park’s website suggesting that a replacement attraction may soon be on the cards.
While no official announcement has been made, Sea World’s maintenance page states that the ride is closed while the park continues to “develop new and exciting attractions”.
The Bermuda Triangle, in its current form, has been operating since 1994. However, the ride system itself originally debuted in 1988 under the name of Lassiter’s Lost Mine.

I’ll miss this ride. It was one of Australia’s best themed rides. It’s a shame that the park let the ride go, however. Hopefully its replacement will be better maintained.
My favourite ride of any park, sad to see it go. The theme aspects were so well done with the aliens, UFO, humans in cloneing type pods, the fire from the volcano.
Sea World had better have something grand planned to replace it, as if it’s something else pretty much children orientated, I won’t be frequenting the park as I have done in the past.
