Cedar Fair has announced that company revenue and attendance is higher than previous figures despite a drop in per capita spending.
Revenue for the period through 5 September 2010 rose 4 per cent to $824 million, up from $792 million recorded in the prior year.
The improved revenue was driven by a 5 per cent increase in attendance.
However, average per capita spending dropped 48 cents to $39.28 within this period. The decrease was attributed to a jump in season pass sales in the southern and western regions.
“We are pleased with our overall performance this summer”, said Dick Kinzel, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer.
“We have experienced solid performances across all of our regions and we are hopeful this will continue as we enter our award winning Halloween season”, Mr Kinzel added.
